Come out to test your navigational skills at Island Park in Portage La Prairie. The event is beginner friendly and experienced orienteers will be available to help newcomers. The event will be a handicap format with different age groups and genders able to drop different numbers of controls from the 16 marked on the map. You determine the order you visit controls to try and execute the most efficient route.
The start will be at the Splash Island Shelter, location shown on the map below. Please register for your age/gender class to ensure a map will be available for you, however extras will be printed. Event fee is $5 per adult, $3 juniors, or $10 per family. If this is your first orienteering event of the year please fill out a membership form available from the MOA website. Membership fees match event fees and for new members your first event is free.
