This orienteering event will take place in three city park maps (Assiniboine Forest, Assiniboine Park and Bruce Park). Meeting location is on the Assiniboine Forest parking lot (see map below). Orange and white signs will be placed to help you find the organizers.

You can pre-register for the event using this website (see "Course Registration" on the right) or by contacting the organizers (see email address at the bottom). Pre-registration will ensure maps are available for you. We will have a limited number of compasses on site to lend. Experienced members of the association will help the beginners to familiarize with the techniques of map reading and navigation.

Event entry costs $10.00 for one single participant. Additional team members will pay $5.00 (ex. a team of two will pay $15.00, a team of three $20.00…). Payment is to make by cash on site the day of the event. A mandatory 2017 MOA Membership is included in this price.

We offer 2 courses of different lengths (14 km and 9 km). Those lengths include the orienteering courses plus the distance to go from one park to another (1 km from Assiniboine Forest to Assiniboine Park and 150 m from Assiniboine Park to Bruce Park). This event is designed for competitive runners as well as for people who prefer to walk. Please do not use bicycles or cars to go from one site to another. It will be helpful if participants can organize carpooling with others to drive back to the Assiniboine Forest from Bruce Park at the end of the event. The organizers will help with the transportation if needed.

Please, pay attention to other users in the parks, and in particular to car traffic when crossing roads.

Participants have a 4 hours time limit. All must report to the finish in Bruce Park. Results will be followed live, and snacks and refreshments will be provided at the end of the event.

L'événement aura lieu sur trois sites de course d’orientation de la ville (Forêt Assiniboine, Parc Assiniboine, Parc Bruce). Le lieu de rendez-vous est sur le stationnement de la forêt Assiniboine (voir carte ci-dessous). Des panneaux orange et blancs seront placés pour vous aider à trouver les organisateurs.

Vous pouvez vous pré-inscrire à l'événement en utilisant ce site (voir "Course Registration" à droite) ou en communiquant avec l'organisatrice (voir adresse courriel en bas). La pré-inscription assurera qu'une carte soit disponible pour vous. Nous aurons un nombre limité de boussoles sur place à prêter. Des membres expérimentés de l’association seront là pour montrer aux débutants les techniques de lecture de carte et de navigation.

La participation à l'événement coûte 10,00 $ pour une personne et 5,00 $ par personne supplémentaire dans une même équipe (par exemple une équipe de deux paye 15.00 $, une équipe de trois 20.00 $...). Le paiement est à faire sur place, en espèces. Une adhésion obligatoire pour 2017 au MOA est incluse dans ce prix.

Nous offrons deux parcours de longueurs différentes (14 km et 9 km). Ces distances incluent les courses d’orientation sur les trois sites plus la distance pour transiter d’une carte à une autre (1 km de la forêt au parc Assiniboine et 150 m du parc Assiniboine au parc Bruce). Cet événement est conçu pour les compétiteurs autant que pour les personnes préférant marcher. Merci de ne pas utiliser de vélos ou voitures pour aller d’un site à l’autre. Si cela est possible, merci de vous organiser avec d'autres participants pour rejoindre le stationnement de la forêt Assiniboine à la fin de l’événement. Les organisateurs pourront aider au transport si besoin.

Merci de faire attention aux autres usagers dans les parcs à tout instant, et en particulier à la circulation automobile en traversant les routes.

Les participants ont une durée limitée de 4 heures. Tous doivent se présenter à l'arrivée au parc Bruce. Les résultats seront suivis en direct, et des collations et rafraîchissements seront proposés à la fin de l'événement.
