Come join us Saturday, 13th of October.
Expect no mosquitoes, no black flies, and no poison ivy!!!
Enjoy fall colours, good food, camaraderie, and orienteer on MOA’s only Canadian Shield map.
Parking will be at the trailhead for the Jessica Lake Hiking Trails, shown on the map below, in the Whiteshell Provincial Park, across the highway from Jessica Lake Lodge. A Provincial Park Pass is required.
There will be a beginner’s Course 2 as well as Courses 5, 8, and 10 for experienced orienteers. There is a three-hour time limit for all participants.
It’s an old map so trails may be difficult to find or follow but you will be orienteering in classic Precambrian shield country!
Check the weather forecast and come prepared.
White Lake Resort, restaurant and convenience store will be open. It’s down the road to the north.
Make a weekend of it, possible overnight accommodations include White Lake Resort, Rennie Hotel, Jessica Lake Lodge, White Lake Campground, etc.
Please register on or before Thursday, October 11th. You can register using this web site or by contacting Brian Johnston (brian at johnstonpursuits.ca or 204-754-2651).
