Spruce Woods (Parsons Hill) Wilderness

Parsons Hill is located on the west side of Highway 5, just at the top of the hill north of the Assiniboine River. The map is part of the Spirit Sands map, updated in detail this summer.

You will find that it bears little resemblance to the old map, as over 30 years of growth has greatly changed the vegetation. Trails are very faint, and interpretation has changed over the years as well. There is much more green (interpretation) and much less yellow (growth). The sand pit by the parking area has grown, and there is a huge rock pile (?!?!) next to it.
