Cypress River Sand Hills Sprints Wilderness
June 27th 2020 11:00am - 2:00pm
Organizers: Kelly Egilson (Event Director), Larry Konotopetz (Event Director), Jennifer Hamilton (Event Director)
Map: Cypress River Sand Hills Sprint
There will be two Sprint events held together sharing the same start and finishes, on the West side of the road. One goes to the North and the other South. You can choose which order to do them in.
The controls will be up until at least 2:00 PM, so you can arrive any time in the late morning or early afternoon.
These events will be slightly different due to COVID-19:
- No refreshments will be provided - please bring your own!
- There will be a 'self-service' table with event instructions, hand sanitizer, and the maps for each course.
- Volunteers will be able to answer basic questions (if you have any) but won't be able to point at things on your map or show you how to use a compass.
- If you would like to do the event on a different day (without controls), email info@orienteering.mb.ca for a copy of the map.
Park vehicle passes: There is now a new system for park vehicle permits, which you can read about at https://www.gov.mb.ca/sd/parks/park-fees/index.html. Purchasing and printing your vehicle permit at home is the best option. If you do not have a home printer, email info@orienteering.mb.ca to see if we can print it for you.
Registration deadline extended to Friday at 12:00 PM. There will be extra maps, but please email info@orienteering.mb.ca to register after the deadline.
