Organizer: Kevin Holliday (Event Director)

At recent Board meetings we have discussed how we can coach club members to improve their skills in wilderness events. From this, and with the permission of the landowner, we have left out orange stakes and orange tapes at each control site on the intermediate course after the April Epinette event.

If you wish, you can run the course, or you can make up your own course finding the controls, all at your own pace.

The controls will stay out until June 21.

The only control not placed or marked is the start control. We expect you to find this area, the top of the broad hill by the track, on your own in order to start.

This is a new activity for the club and we are keen to find out about uptake and experiences. Please let us know how you get on.

Please be aware of all the good practices with regard to venturing into the outdoors. Tell someone where you are going. Tell them when you are expected back. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear sunscreen. Take enough water with you. Take basic first aid equipment with you. Take a whistle.

Most of all, have fun.
